ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves are bringing back infielder Wes Helms, signing him to a minor league deal less than a week after he was released by the Florida Marlins.

The Braves said Wednesday that Helms will report to Triple-A Gwinnett this weekend and likely join the Braves when the rosters are expanded Sept. 1 to provide another right-handed bat off the bench.

Yeah hopefully he brings some nice suckage to the Braves in Sept. and they choke the chicken, and lose the Wildcard......I'm not betting on that, but we can cross our fingers I guess.

I really don't get the hate for Wes. I hope he goes on a monster tear and gets somebody else to pay him buckets of cash.

SO......he could sit home and get paid by the Marlins for the rest of the 1M....or go to Braves AAA.......hmmmmmmm.

I would sit at home only if I get both. Certainly wouldn't lose the rest of the 1M

He gets the Marlins money anyhow.

The final piece to their championship puzzle.
