#Tigers acquire Infante and A Sanchez from Marlins

 

Wow. Lts hope we got Turner or Castellanos and others. This is the start of hopefully a couple of deals.

 

Edit- The deal is Infante and Sanchez for Turner, good catching prospect named Rob Brantley, and a LHP named Brian Flynn who was a 7th round pick last year.

 

Brantly is a really nice prospect too!

great deal. love it. wasn't sure about adding infante to the deal because he is under contract for next year but we got a future ace and others.

according to Peter Gammons its a really nice catching prospect named Rob Brantly and a 7th rounder from last year named Brian Flynn.

future horse, number 2 would be a safer bet, ace might be a bit ambitious.

# 22 prospect baseball entering year. Projects to be a 2/3, reasonable mid projection a dependable 3. 21 years old, probably needs AAA this year and MLB ready next year.

 

He's going to look great with Fernandez long term. This is very exciting

Turner Is def a nice prospect but I am not thrilled with trading infante.

Yeah I'm good with this deal. Neither player was going to be around for long, but Turner's a good acquisition long-term.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Tigers have acquired right-hander Anibal Sanchez and second baseman Omar Infante from the Marlins.

The Marlins are expected to acquire 21-year-old right-hander Jacob Turner as part of the deal. Sanchez has a 3.94 ERA and 110/33 K/BB ratio over 121 innings this season and further strengthens the Tigers' rotation. The Tigers have been hurting for production at second base all season, so Infante should be a major upgrade. Turner is a pretty good get for the Marlins, as Sanchez will be a free agent following the season.

Im not seeing we got anyone else other than Turner. Dont know much about Turner, is this for a long term gain or are they still trying to shake things up for a final push?

I'm still afraid of Detroit "prospects".
