Hate to say it, but I'm not seeing how this team got better without Reyes, Infantes, etc. I don't even know who half the guys in our lineup are...but they sure do look AAA material

I guess they are counting on growth from some of the guys starting today and the future of Fernandez & Yelich. I guess we have to give it 2 more years before anyone can say it was good or bad trade.

@Erick: that they should start Ruggiano?

Yeah.

Initially, you said Coghlan wasn't blocking anybody. He's blocking Ruggiano from more playing time.I meant anyone like a top young prospect. I'm not saying Ruggiano isn't important, but it's not like we're foregoing an opportunity to play a younger player who could be part of the future.

I wasn't trying to call you out with the Wade Davis example. I was just using it as an example. There are plenty of players who were bad players and then played well when given the chance. Coghlan could turn it around as well. The odds of that happening are low, but it will take more than two ABs to find out.

Who predicted hech was going to hit?

Didn't Loria say something about his being an All Star, so they expect him to get better.

I don't see why Ruggiano can't be a part of the future.

He had a high .BABIP last year, but he's always had high .BABIP's. He's also a solid defender. With Ruggiano, it's worth experimenting. He's just a better player with more tools. He has more value. Coghlan hasn't been good for 3 years. It's not as if he had one bad year and it was an aberration. He's now been bad for a long time.

Dish out again......Baseball starts and so do the afternoon T-Storms, right on schedule

He's 31 with back issues. I don't see him as apart of the future. I would start him over Coghlan but he isn't for some reason. So I'm willing to see what he does with his final chance.
