Game of Thrones

He sure is. It's funny how so many are disgusted with his actions. I used to despise Joffrey and was glad when he got killed off but I actually enjoy having a character like Ramsay there to dislike.

It brings balance to the show.

HOLD THE DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

holy shit, I can't remember the last time a show ended abruptly like that and I literally felt my heart racing.  That was fucking crazy.  One of the best episodes yet.

It was surprisingly emotional. I'm not liking though how it seems to be going down the time travel route.

Yeah I hate that they're doing time travel now. This season has been kind of disappointing so far. Pacing seems very off and there isn't as much creative writing imo.

Respectfully, I have to disagree, I'd say this season so far is up there with the best of them.

And yes, what an ending.

I mean the season isn't season 5 bad but I think 1-4 were much better. It's all a matter of taste anyways.

I did like the ending yesterday though.

yeah I'm not particularly a fan of that either.  I'm fine with the flashbacks and visions of the past but kinda hoping Martin didn't take it too far.

so that was a rather dull episode.  Except for the return of ****** which was great, it was a lot of nothing.  I'm sure in the long run these were all big setup pieces for what's to come, but yeesh...     I mean really Arya?   Really Sam?  Dany with another rousing speech yawn c'mon gang.

All setting up for a big battle at Riverrun later in the season.

Also how quickly can the Greyjoys build their ships and get over to Slavers Bay to pick up Daenerys and her khalasaar?

I'm curious what the hell Yara and Theon will be up to.  I take it they aren't going to try and get to Daenerys first, and it's not as if they have a lot of allies, so where can they go?

Well we know that Theon was with Sansa before going back home, and Sansa went to the Knight's Watch to find Jon. My guess is that's where they are heading to build up an army.

Yeah that could be.  Just awkward where the Greyjoys attacked the North recently... but they're outcasts now so Jon Snow & Company would probably be happy to have them.  I'm hoping Riverrun doesn't disappoint.

I feel like I should know what's going on with the Red Women on this show but I just don't.  The one in Mereen is hot/creepy.

So I feel that Hodor isn't dead, but will return as a White Walker, and either Bran can still control him, OR, Bran ends up being the one to kill him.

Would be interesting to see a White Walker Hodor vs The Mountain at some point, maybe.

that was great, loved the cold opening like that.  It was like "hey where's the theme?  who the hell are these people??  Holy shit is that the Hound??!"

So much for him turning soft though, somebody's getting an axe to the head.  Go north dude, Sansa could use a hand.

Meanwhile the Stark army recruitment tour is not going so well.  And wow Arya, need to keep a low profile when you've just pissed off the Assassin's Guild.  Just sayin.

I feel very very confident in saying the person who was stabbed was not Arya. Arya wouldn't act like that, and she's had enough training that she would know that the girl would come at her as a different person. I feel as if Arya was another person who passed by the 'fake' Arya (not sure how she got her appearance on somebody else), and that she'll now sneak up on the girl and fight her one last time, ultimately killing her after failing in every other fight they've had.

As for the Stark recruitment, they shouldn't expect any different. The biggest downfall to the Stark family name was when Robb chose the girl he loved over going through with the agreed marriage to one of Walder Frey's daughters. All strength in the Stark name and their army has fallen apart with that one decision. I'm still believing that Theon and his sister's crew will eventually meet up with Snow and the Wildlings to form an alliance, but I'd have to imagine they'll need more than that to fight off both Theon's uncles crew as well as the eventual white walkers.

That is possible, it doesn't sit well that Arya would be that foolish after having trained with them.  Hell you knew immediately who that old woman was.  On the other hand she would just have had someone else killed in her place, which doesn't seem to click either.  Dunno, it was a weird sequence.

But right on - Rob ruined this whole thing.  Even after he turned down the Frey marriage, when he beheaded Karstark that cinched it.   Lost him half his men & had to go groveling back to the Freys which turned out not super.   Actually I loved that bit at House Glover where Sansa tries to shame him into supporting them "um are you not sworn to House Stark" and Glover replies "we all got steamrolled in the aftermath of your botched war so GTFO".

So it's sort of shaping up like Snow & Company would be massively outnumbered vs the Bolton army, the Tullys have their own problems.  And then perhaps it's Baelish and the Knights of the Vale to the rescue...  At least that's what we're led to believe.

So we didn't get to see a Lannister-Tully battle, didn't get to see the Arya-Waif battle, thank goodness there was some Hound action.  Seems like the stories are all over the place though.  The entire Riverrun sequence seems like it was for nothing.  Ditto with Arya.... so she was just being a complete fool last episode?  I mean that's shit writing.  I liked Jamie's scenes but this doesn't seem to move the plot anywhere unless they just needed him out of King's Landing.  His quiet meeting with Edmure is quite good though, and I like the where the Hound's story is going.  So first the Tully army was going to be allowed to ride north to help Sansa, and now presumably it won't?  Because it was Edmure instead of Brienne?

Couple of interesting questions though, as Varys heads to Westeros in a secret meeting for support (which house I wonder...) and Qyburn and Cersei are scheming something.

Sandor cock.

I believe Cersei and Qyburn are discussing wildfire as it has long been rumoured that Cersei will torch King's Landing to the ground.....
