yokofox33
Just curious... How many of you have read the books?
Hotcorner
I'm reading the first book now. At this point I don't want to get ahead of HBO.
Hotcorner
Hooray for Thrones return. Red Viper new best character ever, so I fully expect him to die next episode. That opening scene was cold, Tywin burns Rob's wolf and melts down his sword. He thinks the Starks are done but oh no there's Arya getting all stabby. Jonny Ramos
Tywin burns Rob's wolf and melts down his sword Ohhh... That's what that was! Thanks man.
Schnellders
Glad the show is back on tv but frustrating that the next book is still probably years away!
Hotcorner
well with the Marlins sucking, at least we get a bit of joy from that episode. "Hurry up, this pie is dry!"
Hotcorner
So wondering now who poisoned the king. There's a necklace theory on the web that seems to make sense. Littlefinger is clearly involved but I'm not sure he has any clear motive other than he seems to like chaos. The Tyrells and Baelish? He did arrange the marriage in the first place so there's some history there. I mean just about everyone has a motive though, even Tywin looks pleased to have a better grandson he can mold. dim
I mean they pretty much showed the last episode that Baelish was involved. The Tyrell girl marrying Joffrey was the last girl with the cup nearby. She distracted everybody when the pie came in, the grandmother, who took hold of the part of the necklace with the poison and put it inside the cup while they were distracted, and they knew that Tyrion would get blamed so no worries. The guy who took Sansa and died was paid some gold to help along the way. Hell, there was even a scene last episode where the Tyrell's pretty much discuss pulling the plan out. Don't understand why they wanted to kill Joffrey, considering it would've been best to wait until they were "officially" married to let him die so she could take over as queen, now Joffrey's brother will become king. Tywin hated Joffrey and was super happy to be able to let Joffrey's brother become king. He's impressionable, seems to be of calmer demeanor, and Tywin pretty much will make any decision until Joffrey's bro is old enough to marry, and even then he's already planting the seeds inside his head that Tywin and his counsel should be making the major decisions for the foreseeable future. All this is futile because Dragon Lady is coming to create hell and kill and take over the throne whenever.
Hotcorner
yeah that's what confused me - clearly Margaery and her mother know Jeoffrey was awful but why poison him now? I'm sure there's a twist somewhere.
ArtisticHate
I really enjoyed the latest episode of Game of Thrones. Hodor! Ghost!
Hotcorner
Last episode was so good, can't wait to see what comes of this. Peter Dinklage is just chewing up those scenes. Trial By Combat! Tyrion will probably have a champion fight for him, so either Jaime or Bronn, can't think of anyone else who would do it. But then would Tywin choose who would fight him?? Also any scene with Oberyn is just awesome.

Hotcorner
Yeah good point, whoever is most likely won't wind up happening. Oberyn could be yep.
