April 23, 201313 yr Just pathetic. But hey lets keep running them out there. Were just waiting for the key hit. nick green, donovan solano, juan pierre, miguel olivo....now thats a team.
April 23, 201313 yr giancarlo looks utterly lost at the plate That's not Giancarlo. Hard to believe this is the same person who hit so many home runs last year.
April 23, 201313 yr down a run in the 9th, Mahoney's 2-3 and one of the few guys who might be able to tie it up in one swing. But yeah go ahead and use Valaika to pinch-hit for him. Then let Nick Green hit.
April 23, 201313 yr The attendance on Thursday is going to be scary. I doubt there will be more than 5,000 in actual attendance for each game of that Miami v Cubs series.

April 23, 201313 yr Man I hate to say it but ... Miami just needs to rip the band aid off fast and Trade Giancarlo. This guy just doesn't want to be here.
April 23, 201313 yr Oh ... my God. Giancarlo sucks EVERY April. He's a slow starter. Jesus Christ, guys, how many times do I have to say it? Nobody's getting it ... here's his career line for April: G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB BAbip 56 214 189 22 43 13 0 3 19 22 63 .228 .318 .344 .662 65 .325 Sure, maybe he's a LITTLE more suckish this April, but he's sucked in all 3 of his Aprils so far. Just wait for May ... G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB BAbip 57 243 212 40 65 16 1 21 50 26 52 .307 .383 .689 1.071 146 .310

April 23, 201313 yr So trade a guy who's already proven at the MLB level that he can absolutely smash the ball because he's struggling in his first 50 AB's even though his track record has shown he's a slow starter? Yeah that makes sense, let's see you guys say that when he finds a groove and starts sending balls over the fence right and left.

He won't hit homers to center, trade him.

The smart ones of the Stanton traders are the ones that realize that with the right trade, a lot of holes could be filled. Texas trade most likely fills 3rd and gives us another shortstop in Olt and Profar. Edit: Might as well add that I would be very surprised t see Stanton back out tonight after the ball to the hand.

If we trade him right this second, unless they've been secretly talking to Texas over the last month and a half, we'll get a shit return. I'm also hearing rumors of Texas and St. Louis making a trade, Profar for Oscar Tavares.
April 24, 201313 yr Author writing the same story. only scored 1 in the second and had an easy run right there. you know where it goes from here.

Still that's a proven stud at the ML level for two prospects who might not pan out. If we trade Stanton I want young players who are proven or can prove to be absolute studs in the bigs
