That's misleading. It's 3 years where he's accumulated just a bit more than a full season's worth of AB's, most coming in spurts - and with injuries mixed in. What's the harm in putting him in 3B and sitting down Polanco? This season is lost and he's not holding anyone back in 3B.

I don't think Coghlan has the arm for 3b and I think it'd be unwise to move Deitrich out of position, but if Coghlan does have the arm then sure, why not considering Polanco is the worst offensive 3b in baseball
