Admin
Jose Ceda, Steven Ames, Joe Mahoney and Gil Velazquez all cleared waivers and were sent outright to AAA
Wild Card
Maybe Ceda can finally throw another pitch next year... Ames is the new Sanabia. Mahoney and Velasquez are bad.
Michael
Mahoney has some pop, I'll give him that. Maybe he can take over for Dobbs in a year.

Michael
Had, then. Jesus, he OPSed .462 ... didn't he end up on the DL for a long time, too? Maybe he was trying to play through it or IDK. Yeah, never mind.
canada-marlin24
man ceda just isnt getting a break. if he can find some health he can be solid.
mrchainsaw
Does this mean they are bringing Velazquez back next year? I don't get why. He doesn't even count as minors depth, he doesn't hit worth a crap when he comes up.
Wild Card
man ceda just isnt getting a break. if he can find some health he can be solid. He could still get a look next year, probably just creating space for some FA...

I doubt its clearing space for free agents, more like making room for minor leaguers who will have to be protected before rule 5 draft, its a little early for it. Not really any losses out of the bunch.

I never said they were opening up spots for Robinson Cano and Brian McCann... It could be for a couple bums.
fanofthefish
If the Sentinel is right (see Espada thread and link) you can add Kevin Slowey, Koyie Hill and Zach Phillips as being removed from the 40 man also
Eddie Altamonte
Oh No! Not Koyie Hill! What will we ever do without him???????

Admin
Yes, but Hill and Phillips elected free agency.
