January 10, 201412 yr Which Marlins relief pitcher do you see being the primary guy picking up holds this season?
January 10, 201412 yr Any reliever after the fifth inning can get a hold, if I'm not mistaken. However, if you mean specifically the 8th inning guy, I'd say probably Dunn, Ramos, or maybe even Carter Capps.
January 10, 201412 yr Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but Carter Capps certainly has the stuff to nail that job down. In fact, if he has a good first half of the season, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cishek traded to a desperate team at the deadline and Capps taking over as closer.
January 10, 201412 yr Well, since we don't know Capps all that well (and considering his 2013 season was kind of dreadful) I would say Ramos and Dunn.
January 10, 201412 yr yeah Ramos would be the obvious guy but I think they'll definitely look to give Capps opportunities in the late innings as well - with an eye on him possibly being future closer if/when they deal Cishek.
January 10, 201412 yr Dunn over Ramos until/unless Ramos gets his BB rate down. Capps could be quite good and take it as well.
January 10, 201412 yr Ramos, right handers prevail but Dunn will get a lot of work. Capps/Caminero/Jennings are clearly behind them.
January 12, 201412 yr AJ Ramos. He's the guy poised to replace Cishek if he is ever traded. Also something something Nick Wittgren is awesome.
January 26, 201412 yr Ramos or Capps - Dunn will probably be 7th inning guy. I would think Dunn and Ramos in the 8th, kind of interchangeable because one is LH and another is RH... Just depends on the situation. Capps will have to earn that spot, those two clearly deserve every opportunity.
January 27, 201412 yr Wild Card - true. I also like the lefty righty options with Dunn and Ramos/Capps.
