The Brewers are a good team, Randy Wolf was never going to beat them. Good thing Turner showed up yesterday and shut a lot of us up, including me.

I'd rather see Desclafani in the majors with Wolf available to do relief work at any time than Wolf starting out games.

Can't win 'em all. The Nationals series will be a big, big test. Winning that series would be absolutely HUGE for morale, lose or even worse get swept and there's little doubt that we don't deserve to be even mentioned anywhere near the Nationals or Braves this year.

Give him one more start at most. Don't let this carry on. This reminds me of that nate robertson nonsense from a few years back hopefully they don't let it drag on as long.

Might be two starts - I believe the Super Two deadline is in a couple weeks, and that means Heaney can come on up!

I don't want Wolf on the team at all, let alone starting, but Desclafani is clearly not ready for the big leagues.

If they're going to do this, the best idea would probably be to alternate starters. In this case, alternate Wolf/Slowey until Heaney is ready in a couple of weeks. Wolf sucks, but he's exposed even more when you put him out there against a lineup full of right-handed power hitters like the Brewers have.

Not saying he's ready, but I feel better with Desclafani early and throwing Wolf into the game in the 4th/5th/6th innings to either clean up or help finish the job.

If he's not ready, why would you put him early in an MLB game instead of the minors where he belongs? I don't follow you here.

It's not all about winning, either, because the Marlins are not a playoff team. They need to be cognizant of what's best for the development of their prospects. Throwing Desclafani to the wolves is reckless.

If the Wolf signing was meant as a "we don't want too many innings on our young arms because we aren't going anywhere this year" type of thing, then that's fine. Let DeSclafani, Nicolino, Heaney, and the others learn down in the minors. As long as that's what the team is thinking, I have no problem with Wolf being on the roster. However, if we end up doing something stupid at or near the trade deadline just because we happen to still be treading water, then the Wolf signing becomes incredibly stupid.

Non-coincidentally, Randy Wolf pitching every fifth day makes it less likely that we will have a salvageable record come July 31st.

Based on how the Marlins run things, I'd say it's an absolute certainty that Heaney gets the call in June.
