Best way to get Marlins Tickets?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm sorry if I am posting in the wrong place, but what in your opinion is the best way to get Marlins tickets? I heard day of game with the scalpers works well, but I am coming from New York for the weekend (6/21-22) and was wondering if there is a different way to get cheap tickets. I checked Marlins.com, Stubhub and Craigslist but they all seem to start in the $25 range. How much should I expect to pay if I get them off the streets?

Thanks

Mike

Go to the ballpark with the intent of scalping. If for some reason you miss the 15 scalpers clearing selling, then buy at the ballpark. Do not pay more than $3 for a ticket if you scalp. They will put on a show, but will agree to $3.

How do scalpers make $$ when they sell at 3?

Honestly the ballpark is so well made that you can buy a cheap ticket and just sit by one of the bars and you still have a super get view of the game. Very rarely do I stay in my seat.

Depending who I go to the game with, this is one of my options . If I just go with friends I bar hop the place.

Ahh. I remember last year people couldn't even get rid of tickets easily.

My dad took his truck to the ford dealership to claim a free oil change and came back with over a dozen tickets. I ended up sitting right on top of the marlins dugout too!

Scalping sounds like an idea.. However, do you guys know if their tickets check out or could it be a scam?

all you need to do is check the date to make sure they aren't old tickets.

Really? I figured they would still make fake tickets, just my inner skeptic I guess.

I'm just gonna end up giving someone $5 and seeing where it takes me, I am from New York and looking to get those salt/pepper shakers for my personal collection

When is that? The salt shaker night?

So I ended up seeing the short hispanic gent and he wanted $20 to get in the stadium...I got him down to $10 and just went because at that point it was pouring..Due to the fact the ticket was a $1, he didn't have tickets to Sundays game and came off as a douche (even by Ny standards) I ended up buying the tickets for Sundays game at the box office for $16, which is the salt and pepper shaker night.

The game was fun, I ended up on the third base line about 5 rows from the field

Honest truth is that if it was my home park (Citi Field) I would of haggled more but I wanted sufficient time in the stadium

Did you have any luck scalping?

there is no reason to. they pay $1 for each ticket. if they make a ticket they would make what....maybe 30 cents more per sale? not worth the hassle. I'd only watch for fakes during the postseason but that won't happen until 2016.

yeah.....right, keep dreaming.

So optimistic
