2014 Marlins Trade Deadline

Featured Replies

Well, Casey McGehee's DEF WAR is -2.3 so tats still a losing argument on your part lol

I see it at -0.2...

You see the future

Oh but of course, know what else I see? STALLING. WHY IS THIS FRONT OFFICE STALLING AND DISAPPOINTING US?!?!

Danks still scheduled to start today at 1.Good news?

He will be pulled in the 6th inning and be told he won't be on the marlins.

Salty runs hot and cold. He could streak through September over .800.

Since we're bringing up old debates, care to admit McGehee is a superior defender to Pedro Alvarez? He now has 23 errors, a -0.3 Defensive WAR, and is likely headed to first base next season because he can't throw a baseball.

That's highly unlikely considering he's currently at .733...

Admin, question. Are you familiar with all trades through August 31, what exactly does that mean. I know its a waiver thing but can you specify.

How would I get a regular muffin then? I mean what us yanks consider a muffin.

That would also be called an American muffin.

Right, I am off to the shops for something for dinner. If we haven't swapped Kevin Gregg and Jake Marisnick for Clayton Kershaw and Mike Trout by the time I get back, there will be hell to pay.

It is kind of amazing to think about, Yoenis Cespedes just got both Jon Lester and Jon Gomes...and he would be the 4th best outfielder on this Marlins team.

I mean, that is just mind blowing and makes me mad that this is an outfield whose shelf life of playing together isnt very long.

Anyone that clears waivers can be traded. You'll see guys with big contracts usually clear since teams don't want to take them on. Almost everyone is placed on waivers in August since a team can pull them back. Catch is if you pull them back, you can't place them on those waivers again and they can't be traded.

You sure do have a lot of players on your shit-list, don't you?

I can see why you and Wild Card don't like each other. You are basically his exact opposite.

So I wonder what the deal was when Conine got here in 2003. Same issues?

The front office just need to man up trade for Price and make a run at the playoffs. If it doesn't work out he can always be traded at the winter meetings
