May 28, 201511 yr Say what you will about his pressers but here's a fun new quote: "I respect every manager and what they've done to get here, but the bottom line is I'm not here to kiss anyone's ass and take them to dinner. I'm trying to beat their ass.''
May 28, 201511 yr he realized that as long as Loria's still paying Ozzie Guillen he might as well channel some of his spirit back into the GM role? god damn I wish they never fired Guillen. stupid Castro comment
May 28, 201511 yr The least we can do to entertain ourselves throughout this season is keep an ongoing collection of DJ's quotes. Someone get that donuts quote in here fast.
May 28, 201511 yr Not only was he not a good GM he's not a good manager either so he is harming his ability to kick said ass in multiple ways. The way this team is built year in and year out is just so flawed and literally everything this team does publicly makes it so hard to be a fan of this team. It has happened so many times throughout the past 10 years or so but this team seems to have hit rock bottom is pretty officially the most dysfunctional team in all of American sports. Its getting pretty close to Knicks, Raiders, Clippers with Sterling territory. Its sad and it makes baseball not fun at all.
May 28, 201511 yr If he wants to beat someone's ass he needs to worry about his love life on his free time...
