I have really had it with Marcell Ozuna.

This offense is abominable.

Lead off double and two strikeouts and a first pitch pop up.

Runner doesn't even get to third.

There is just no words. This team has been a disaster since game 1.

What can i say, at this point i see the marlins because i go to this site and vent and read venting from others. Thats entertaining. Most boring marlins team ever, and this going up against 2012, 2013, 2011, and probably 2001

Its amazing how it has pretty much felt like this since day 1. Stanton called the lack of fire from the first week.

Horrible base running, one of the worst teams in baseball with RISP, terrible two out hitting, give up a ton of two out runs, underperforming players, and injuries.

All teams have injuries but the way Yelich (until this series), Ozuna, Morse, and Stanton (until June) were hitting combined with terrible years from Dunn, Morris, and Cishek......nobody stepped up to help the team through the injuries.

Since going 9-1 to get to 12-12 this team has gone 19-34. Very likely one of the worst teams in baseball over that stretch and another year on its way down the drain.

19-34??? Theyve done that good? Oh yes, yes that is the correct record. Well feels like 9-44.

Jennings officially has a worse record than Redmond did this season. A+

This team won't be good again until they switch back to teal.

yeah.

As someone pointed out the other day, this team has the exact same record that Redmond had when he was fired. He was not the problem. I really hope they don't bring Jennings back for 2016.

At this point they might as well field offers for Haren and Latos, since both are not under contract for 2016. Obviously this team is dead in the water. Were it not for the Phillies being even more of a tire fire, we would be in the basement of the entire NL.

Here's the sad truth.  Our farm system has been gutted.  So not only does this team have no short term future, it has no long term future either.  The main reason is that Loria refused to pay for the salaries of traded veterans so we got lousy players in return.  And then we reached for  "signable" players in the amateur draft.

We are going to wind up trading Prado, Latos and Haren, but if Loria doesnt kick in enough salary, we won't replenish our farm system.

I really see no reason to trade Prado. Haren maybe but if Latos can get back he can be a real solid #2 and we could maybe buy low.

Its weird because the talent is there but it's just not our year. Of course first base needs to be fixed and the bullpen too. And the bench for that matter.

Otherwise its just fuck heads needing to play to their ability.

They aren't going to get elite prospects in return for any of those guys anyway. The Marlins don't have many pieces that will get a good return. The Marlins's best hope for getting good in the short term is spending in free agency. Unfortunately there aren't many good options in terms of offense.

yeah.

Jennings is going to get a free pass because of the Stanton injury (& also because he's in Loria's pocket)

And, because Loria is still paying ozzie and redmond, and is too cheap spend money on another manager. Hence why Jennings is there in the first place.

If anything, this proves the importance of having a good manager and strong leadership in the clubhouse. This team has neither.

I don't think clubhouse leadership is a problem. There's plenty of leadership guys in there. Stanton, Gordon, Prado, Mathis, Ichiro... even Morse and Latos have been called good leaders before.

They're not good leaders.

They're not good leaders.

jesus this whole leadership thing is stupid.  We would have 10 guys you would be calling good leaders if we were a much better team.

No, it's not stupid. It's a big reason why we're not doing well because this team has talent. To discount leadership is to clearly not understand its importance.

It's also stupid to assume that a team with a losing record is without leadership. I honestly don't believe there's a leadership problem here.

And who were u saying isn't a good leader from who I posted? Hopefully you were just questioning Morse and Latos and not the other five I mentioned.

If only the Marlins had Juan Pierre on this team, then they would be in first place!

Lack of leadership is not why this team sucks.

Yes, it is a reason. And Juan Pierre was not a leader in that team. Of course, since you don't value leadership you wouldn't know that.

If you look at the aggregate statistics of the roster, it's clear that the team just sucks. It's not like the individual performances are somehow solid and the team is consistently in the loss column.

To pin the team's struggles on a lack of leadership anywhere beyond a negligible amount is just plain idiotic. It's a cop out that people make when they make no effort to understand statistics.
