October 4, 201511 yr When he had a back injury? Yes i'm just saying what people said. he was mailing it in after his contract. red prolly got a raw deal in the end, but its the marlins, so it is what it is
October 5, 201511 yr i'm just saying what people said. he was mailing it in after his contract. red prolly got a raw deal in the end, but its the marlins, so it is what it is Red definitely got a raw deal. Not saying he was a good manager, but he should never have been fired during the season and replaced with Dan Jennings of all people.
October 5, 201511 yr Who was it here that said Dee was having his usual 2nd half major regression again in August? .338/.359/.413 pre All-Star break .320/.352/.404 post All-Star break.

October 5, 201511 yr Red definitely got a raw deal. Not saying he was a good manager, but he should never have been fired during the season and replaced with Dan Jennings of all people. For what it's worth, I think Jennings ended up with a higher winning percentage than Redmond had going (kind of small sample, though). And no I'm not suggesting that those winning % numbers were the result of the manager. Jennings was a bad decision in the end, but good riddance to Redmond.
October 5, 201511 yr Hypothetically speaking... say we never dismissed Redmond and all roster moves and trades were the same and we had the exact same season and record that we did have... Does Redmond get dismissed now at seasons end and Loria still goes after his "experienced manager" wish? Or does Redmond stick again in 2016?
