Posted October 29, 20159 yr winners will be announced Wednesday, Nov 4th. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25357307/rawlings-announces-2015-gold-glove-award-finalists
October 29, 20159 yr Not sure how Yelich keeps getting nominated. His defense is good but back to back Gold Gloves seems wrong for him. Gordon has been gold glove caliber this year. Hech has been just as good as last year but had a better offensive season giving him more attention.
October 29, 20159 yr Not sure how Yelich keeps getting nominated. His defense is good but back to back Gold Gloves seems wrong for him. Why isn't he worthy of being a GG nominee besides it seeming "wrong for him"?
October 29, 20159 yr Yelich is just one of those guys I watch in the field and don't marvel at his work. He's competent and gets the job done, and every so often he makes a nice sliding catch. However, he's got an average throwing arm and covers slightly above average ground on fly ball outs. Again, he's been a nice plus and much better than expected given the fact he was drafted as a 1st baseman. But I have to imagine there are at least 5-7 better defensive outfielders in the game than Yelich.
October 29, 20159 yr Yelich was terrible defenisvely per metrics this year. He didn't really "look" so hot either. No clue how he's a finalist
October 29, 20159 yr Out of those 2b 3 Gordon should win. It is worth noting that Addison Russel was fantastic at 2b this year although he didn't play there all year so I get why he's not a finalist.
October 29, 20159 yr Adeiny not getting 500 AB should really exclude him from winning. Crawford should take it

October 29, 20159 yr Yelich is a competent outfielder, he makes the routine play and makes the occasional great play. The real question is are there 5-7 better left fielders in the NL? I like the format now where its awarded by position instead of three CF's winning.
October 29, 20159 yr Gordon and Hech should definitely win. Probably the best double play combo in the game this year. They should win handily.
October 30, 20159 yr Adeiny not getting 500 AB should really exclude him from winning. Crawford should take it That would be more of an argument if this were the batting title. He had 499 plate appearances. Good enough. Dude was an absolute stud at short this year and I'll honestly be a bit surprised if he doesn't win it.
October 30, 20159 yr No, but I have no idea why you're calling me out to say so I was curious since you chimed in with valid info on why Yelich didn't deserve it, I was respecting your viewpoints. Relax

October 30, 20159 yr but obviously metrics are probably the last thing they look at for these things Going by anything, he should at least be a finalist if not the winner
October 30, 20159 yr Going by anything, he should at least be a finalist if not the winner you're right. He's actually #1 in the NL per metrics and with less AB
October 30, 20159 yr Why are at bats being figured in here? Why not innings? Or chances? fair point but they will have more chances/innings with abs of course
October 30, 20159 yr fair point but they will have more chances/innings with abs of course Chances are purely by chance [pun 110% intended here, sir]. Even so, though, I would think innings played would be better - and also, PAs are much better than ABs and Hech just missed 500 PAs this year. If it were like the batting title [required 502 PAs], they'd just give him an 0-3 and qualify him more-so.
October 30, 20159 yr UZR/150 normalizes everything based on playing time. Based on that Adeiny should get it.
