I don't recall how articulate he was in interviews. I mean, Baker doesn't make any more sense for me at the moment than any other retired ballplayer. And why does the new color analyst need to have played for the Marlins? Hutton had no Marlins ties before taking the gig. I understand why FS Florida brought in Conine, but I hate that they have a fixation on former Marlins. Wilson, Floyd, and Pavano all suck and should be canned.

Or take tweets from Tommy and read them aloud during games.
December 13, 20159 yr Author The Marlins connection only makes sense if it's a legend. Someone like Conine or Lowell. But I wouldn't be more excited for someone like Baker just because he played for the Marlins a little a bit. A Marlins connection shouldn't be a priority. The commentator should be smart, witty, articulate, and not annoying to the extent that I want to bash my head against the wall of watch the away feed instead. I would suggest that they sample about 2-3 different commentators throughout the season before selecting one. Rotate them in and out and see how it goes.
