Jose Reyes

No, it just wouldn't make sense. We will get Gordon back end of July and he would be the better player anyways. Only position for Reyes would be 2B and I rather have Dietrich there.

Reyes has issues...and as long as Hech can hit 265, I'm fine with him...i'm sure he'll go on a little streak here and there before the seasons up to bring up his average.

Reyes has issues

Yes, which is why he'd be cheap. He still has talent though and tough to find talent like he has for virtually free. The incentive here is he would be extremely cheap.

He's a piece of shit for doing what he did and nobody should condone it, but just talking on-field wise.

Marlins knew that contract was bad and they backloaded it. They were fortunate enough to have the Bluejays take it off their hands. Just imagine if we would have taken some of the salary. Thor would be in our rotation right now.

He's been on a pretty serious decline last few years esp with defense. If the return for Adeiny was really good though, that's a diff story. What teams need a SS like him though that have SP to trade?

I'd rather Rojas start rather than Reyes. His power numbers have declined every year since 2011, his BB/K since 2012, UZR since 2012 and hasn't been positive since 2008.

It's not like last season was an anomaly, he's been on a decline for years now. And last year was in TOR and COL, two very hitter friendly stadiums. He's a below average offensive player and below average defensive player. At least go with the guy who's good defensively, and won't cost you anything.

Trade Hech for a quality SP and bring him back, yes.

Which quality starting pitcher are we getting for a replacement level SS?

wut. Hech was 3.0 WAR last year... Doubt he gets there this year but he's certainly above replacement level

He's a career 1 WAR player.  So yes he's certainly above replacement.

Has the team expressed interest in acquiring Reyes? Honestly this sounds like something the Marlins would do.

I rly doubt they'd trade Adeiny. They've always had a massive crush on him

I feel like this would bring more negatives than positives unless we were sure we could get quality starting pitching for Hech and I just don't think that's for sure so I'd pass. Plus it'd just be awkward to have Reyes back after the way he left.

I'm actually with Nny.

Trade Hech and start Rojas. But trade Hech and get Reyes for nothing doesn't sound terrible either.

BTW I know my earlier posts made it seem like I was in favor of this, that was me playing devils advocate. I'm so good at that

Can I ask if this question came from your own mind or if you're asking for someone else?
