This is what happens when you try and fix what isn't broken and acquire a guy due for serious regression. What's the pen era since the Rodney acquisition now? Everyone has gone full storen

And most of us saw it coming in the 4th and 5th innings. Offense shut down again and they just kept letting the Mets take advantage. 

 

Very odd how the Mets acted so confident after D'arnaud's home run. It was like they knew they were coming back.

And the umpire was a fucking joke. 

 

And Stanton had another great 9th inning at bat. 

 

Could have made up some nice ground today. These are the ones that really kill. 

 

Oh and being 4-8 against the Braves.

One team has Cespedes putting together ABs like a star and our "star" looks like he hasn't been told the season started.

 

Like, the bullpen sucked today and other players sucked today, but what about Stanton? The superstar has sucked all year and continues to suck. When is he going to start carrying this team? The rest of the team is doing its part for a change. 

 

As for Rodney, he wasn't going to be perfect all year, cut him some slack. As a matter of fact, while it was a difficult play, I've seen Hech make that play several times (the one that started the 8th). Phelps kinda sucked today too, but Prado should've had the 2B. So the defense wasn't exactly stellar either.

That play to start the 8th was the writing on the wall. Bunch of things that never happen all happened today. This team drives me up a wall. Tough thinking where they could be and the big opportunity they gave up today.

Honestly, I think the recent stretch of bullpen woes shows why it's never a bad idea to get another bullpen arm.

 

Depth is always good. Now they should add another SP as soon as possible. I still don't have a problem with the front office going for it this year. This team's future is now.

Idk i don't buy that really...we maintain everyone on the team next year except Prado. Definitely need a SP or 2 obviously
