February 4, 20179 yr This reminds me of the dark days of the Florida Panthers. Instead of Iron Mike Hill, it was Iron Mike Keenan. When the Panthers could've had some ridiculous flurry of Martin Havlat or Marian Hossa or something plus Wade Redden/Ray Emery for their Luongo-Bert trade package, but decided that Bertuzzi/Bryan Allen/Alex Auld(lol) was the better path to go down. This team is going to suck.

Rosenthal reported that while MLB offered the Marlins the chance to reverse the entire trade, Miami chose to just take a partial rescind (re-acquiring Luis Castilloand sending Colin Rea back to San Diego) since the Fish believed the league “preferred” that the two sides work out a solution between themselves. Jackson adds a different twist, reporting that the league “told” the Marlins to make a new arrangement with the Padres rather than cancel the original trade entirely, which was the solution Miami wanted." Just wondering if we really acquired Hellickson,than would it possible that we go all in to extend him after the death of Jose ?
