$17 million? damn. i cant imagine the man turning that down. if he does go there, so what? the way i see it is that he's a luxury. we got a decent lineup and our starting pitching is what got us to the level we're at now. now strengthen the pen and we're set. it would be great to get him but you all make it sound like its life or death

I think the worst thing for us right now is Tejada getting $12M per year. I dont know how or why the O's grossly overpaid for Tejada - but considering that he and Vlad have the same agent, I suspect some dirty ball being played here. I hope Vlad comes our way just to screw his agent and the player's union - but it is unlikely. We'll see...I think something shocking is going to happen - in our favor...

it was always a long shot anyway, but it's nice to know the Marlins are at least in the hunt.

But if I am a player trying to win, you cant really think the O's are going to be in it. For one, they are in the AL East and have to compete with the Yanks and Red Sux. Two, they need lots and lots more pitching - they let Ponson go (who may return...but that will cost them). If I was the O's, I would be making a run at Millwood, too. Fact is, even if they sign ALL these FA bats, they arent close to winning consistently. Let's hope Vlad realizes that...
