June 2, 20179 yr The award is voted on by the media. Yep I know but forgot to mention above. He just isn't well known in all of baseball no matter in what position they are.
June 3, 20179 yr The award is voted on by the media. The media should be a little smarter to look at all players and their numbers, not just whoever is in the public eye more. The player of the month award is about individual performance and has nothing to do with team performance. I'm only assuming but it sure feels like Blackmon gets this over Bour because of the Rockies being in first place.
June 3, 20179 yr Plus 1 SB - that shoulda factored in Bour could have gone 0-110 in May but that steal alone should've garnered him the award. On a serious note though that's utterly shameful when you look at the stats from May between those two, even moreso when you factor in Coors.
