October 25, 20188 yr Btw Twins named Baldelli as a new manager. He has not been a manager both minor and major since retired. Only had 3 season as a 1st base coach @ Rays. Interesting. He's only 37 years old and even younger than me,but at least he's older than most of the players he would managed…
October 25, 20188 yr JJ Retired. Still say Girardi ruined his career. That dude was on his way to becoming the most dominant pitcher in baseball. A legitimate argument can be made that peak Josh Johnson was even better than peak Jose.

Jose was the more exciting player of the two simply because of his personality and love of the game - Jose could also actually bat. Pitching-wise though? Yeah 1a and 1b right there.
October 26, 20188 yr I loved JJ. He seemed like a good dude, in addition to being talented. That Logan and JJ show was always a fun watch.

The incident was unfortunate and it cost him his 07 season but it didn’t ruin his career
October 26, 20188 yr Jose could also actually bat. Do you not remember JJ's homers in 2009? Those things were jacked. Center field at the old park.

The incident was unfortunate and it cost him his 07 season but it didn’t ruin his career But here is the question: if not for that incident in 2006, does Johnson have the same amount of arm trouble moving forward? Remember: it wasn't just 2007 (and like half of 2008). He also missed just about all of 2011 and then underwent a second Tommy John surgery later on in his career. Of course, there is also the possibility that Johnson simply had a weakness there, but it's hard to discount what happened in 2006 when recapping his career.

Im not a doctor but my uneducated opinion is that there isn’t a relationship. But you could be right. I do agree though that he was really good, really under rated and his career was cut too short because of his arm
