August 4th: Marlins @ Orioles

Featured Replies

The Marlins make their long awaited return after the Covid outbreak. Hopefully the players and staff members affected make a full recovery and can return soon.

Pitching Match up:

BAL: John Means 0-0 19.29 ERA

MIA: Pablo López (season debut)

Stats to note:

Marlins took 2 of 3 the last time they faced the Orioles in 2018.

Their 22-8 (.733) all time record against Baltimore is the club's best win % against any opponent.

Monte is wearing number 4, which is the number I wore for the majority of my baseball playing days.

4 is my favorite number. Excited already!

We're friends now.

My favorite number is 8 which is two 4’s. Can we be friends too?

Not crazy about this lineup, but it’s fairly solid under the circumstances.  Obviously looking forward to Monte’s debut.

I wonder how the quarantine will affect the guys stuck in Philly. We might see some rust on the hitters. The guys they brought up may have an advantage in that department.
