Just that he would not object if the team went in that route.

Either way, I want Miggy to be in the lineup any time we face a lefty. He has had super star splits vs lefties the past couple of years. The one person who should probably sit against lefties is Lewin. With the DH coming we have enough roster flexibility to make that platoon happen without even forcing Miggy to play at 1B where his athleticism would be wasted. But I doubt that Mattingly would have the balls or brains to pull it off.

He just wants to win, and apparently win as a Miami Marlin. Most loyal player in franchise history.

Obviously he’s not saying he’s not capable of being a starting shortstop, but he’s indirectly admitting that they should bring in a correa/Seager type to take over short and have him move around the diamond which is what I was saying

My point was that, given the strength of the shortstop crop this off-season, they need to bring in someone even better than him to play shortstop everyday and have him play all over the field like they did with Berti. This team is not a slight improvement away from being good. They lost almost 100 games because the offense needs a complete overhaul.
