I disagree that Soler has been putting up his career averages. He has really only hit in blowouts. When it matters, Soler is having one of the worst if not the worst seasons in his career.

Aside from the second half of last year did you check in with him to see how and when he'd get his hits for other teams he's played for to be able to confirm that this is the only time he's gotten low leverage hits?

Their pitching staff has guys with very good stuff who are young and haven’t figured it out yet.

It’s basically our pitching staff minus Sandy (who is not pitching in this series).

Lodolo is a top prospect, Hunter Greene we already know, and Graham Ashcraft throws 100 mph cutters.

Then they have two solid veterans in Luis Castillo, who every team wants, and Mahle.

Not sure why their record sucks so bad actually.

Their lineup is easily better than ours too with Jazz, Cooper, etc. not playing.

Based on fangraph's definition of leverage, he has a .415 OPS in high leverage this season. Only including seasons where he got at least 10 PAs in high leverage, the worst he ever was besides that was .580. He has sucked for the most part, but not this bad.

He was pretty much a #4 since all-star break until end of season and this year he's been a train wreck with seemingly no location or movement at all.  Basically he's been pretty shitty his entire career with us aside from a few good months at the beginning.

Yeah, I see him as a guy with 2 pitches.

Which can work out of the bullpen, but rarely works as a starter.
