A week really isn't that long.  He very well could have been waiting for a better offer to come in; as is his right.  If he didn't get it, then he might have accepted the Marlins offer.  The Marlins instead went after Araez and pulled the offer; as is their right. 

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't think he negotiated in bad faith. It's just part of the process.

Sure, but - if the rumor is true he ignored it - his camp could have reached out to Kim and said "hey, we're considering our options, give us X time to consider it."  To flat out ignore it isn't right.

Yes, but that's an assumption. We don't really know what his camp said or didn't say. Like I said, 1 week really isn't a long time.

One could say that if the Marlins were really interested, they could have reached out again and asked how much time they needed to decide.  Instead, they just pulled the offer.  I just think that once they traded for Araez, they decided to go in a different direction.

1) He has a much deeper voice than I thought he would based on looks lol

2) his "preference" could be to sign an extension, but unless the Pirates pony up closer to what he wants, it won't happen.

3) in that video, he said nothing had changed on the front of him/the Pirates being far apart money wise, which in my mind means he'd want a trade if it happened.

I can't believe we haven't manifested his trade to Miami. I FEEL like he'll be wearing a Marlins uni in the near future.
