November 14, 20223 yr Ah man 😞, that's at least 3 former Marlins that passed this year, I believe he's also the third one from the inaugural team to have passed away-Lewis 2021 and Corsi 2022, R.I.P. Chuck Edited November 14, 20223 yr by fanofthefish clarification

November 14, 20223 yr He was one of the first “electric” players we had. Actually, probably THE first. Just a fun guy to watch even though he was only with the marlins from 1993-1995. He’s one of those players I never forgot watching.
November 14, 20223 yr I remember him he was so fast that even while walking he looked fast he was fun good memories RIP chuck
November 14, 20223 yr Whenever someone poses the “who do you think of…” question with the original Marlin logo my mind goes to Chuck Carr
November 14, 20223 yr In my mind he was a HOF player lol, I mean that in the sense of being 10 years old and just starting to watch baseball daily and this dude was fast and flashy and energetic and you just wanted to be him, he could do no wrong in my eyes back then. I still have a Chuck Carr photoball on my work desk to this day. I have to imagine he was a lot of young Marlins fans' "first favorite player." I was stunned years later to find out that he wasn't so great as his Marlins career would down and to also find out that he wasn't the starting CF coming out of spring training.

He and Sheffield were my 2 favs.
November 14, 20223 yr That first year he led the league in stolen bases. He even got some votes for Rookie of the Year. Always a fun, exciting guy to watch. RIP.
