Justin Turner to Boston - 2/21.7

I really hope that this was a case of Turner refusing to play here and not a case of we simply couldn't beat this offer because this was the very epitome of a cheap deal and small but easy upgrade. I'm guessing Ng offered, it at all, something like 2yrs 18mil tops. Man. Smdh.

It being nothing!

Conforto is still out there. That's about it though I believe unless I'm overlooking someone.

Glad this one is done. Knew it wasn't happening, and to think this was said to be our top target and a competitive offer. What a joke.

Wouldn't shock me if the offer to him was fair but again, why would Turner choose the Marlins? If you have options there's no reason to choose the Marlins. Miami would literally have to almost double the dollar amount to beat out any other teams.

As a fan of both teams, I’m more happy the marlins DIDNT sign him, than happy the Red Sox did. In Boston he’ll be just another average guy to try to help tread water in this mess of a team that Chaim Bloom has created. (He’s putting a shit load of trust in Tristan Casas and eventually Marcelo Mayer so we’ll see) But in Miami he doesn’t even budge the needle one way or another so that would have been a waste of a signing.

at least signing him would've been something, though.  that's the point of desperation I'm at lol.

The FO could at least pretend like they care.
