Fucking finally. Contact him and forgive him so he doesn't live with it anymore.

1) I'll file this under slow news day - what's the need for this article?

2) Yeah, if this dude really meant all that, he could've reached out at any time over the last 12 fucking years.  As if he couldn't have gotten in touch with Marlins folks and gotten Scott's number to reach out?  BS.

Any other catcher, and that play would've sucked, but would've been on the nightly highlight reel and never heard about again.  But because it was up-and-coming star Posey who moved in the way without having the ball vs. random lowly Marlins guy, all bets are off.  In hindsight watching the video, could Cousins perhaps have gone further out to the right and avoided him altogether?  Maybe, but you can't tell Posey doesn't have the ball while he's starting to move in front of you.

Video for reference:

Also, if it ended Posey's career or something, I could understand there still being bad blood toward Cousins.  But Posey went on to have a long career after...

He even won MVP the next year and two more World Series. He totally suffered from this.

Meanwhile, Cousins had 2 seasons after that year, and done.

I know, I thought the same thing when I was hearing them on there.

Still can’t stand Buster Posey. At the time and it should still be, it was a baseball play. It happened and there was nothing wrong with it. If Buster came out with this at the end of that season that’s one thing. It’s not like Scott snuck up behind him and accidentally shot him in the back while trying to rob him.

Normal people: "Baseball play, unfortunate but it happened."

Posey/Giants Fans: "So he was simply standing there, minding his own business, watching the sunset, when Scott Cousins VICIOUSLY ASSAULTED HIM WITHOUT PROVOCATION!"
