I have no desire to play a game like The Show online......mostly because I know they'd destroy me and it wouldn't be any fun. 28 minutes ago, SonOfJack said: Very time consuming but can be fun. I spent most of my time just playing The Sims when I played those kind of games. The Sim City games always ended with my city completely bankrupt and/or destroyed. Simpsons Tapped Out on iPad is probably the only successful "city" I ever did. For sure, it can be quite difficult to get a city to actually be profitable - I figured out you have to be constantly adjusting budgets of schools, libraries, power, water, etc based on population and usage of each to try to get it all to even out (newer versions allow you to adjust individual schools, etc., not just an overall "education" budget). For example, an area with an older population wouldn't need their elementary school to be at full budget, but would still need some funding.
April 10, 20233 yr My RTTS player is a closer and he is off to a start of 18 IP 32 K 0 BB 0 R 3 H in AA. I have no idea what the difficulty is set at though

It's really annoying going from hitting .450 with 45 home runs by the midway point of the year and then you get called up and can't even buy a hit due to this.

I wish it was a little tougher or I had to work my way up to closer. I hope when I get to the MLB level, I start in middle relief and have to claw my way to the top

Right after the AA all star game (I was the #1 vote-getter for CP but did not even pitch). After the first season, for some reason I wasn't invited to training camp with the Marlins... Then optioned back to AAA. Forgot to save before ST and had to redo it, and this time I did get an invite, dominated in ST, and was still sent back to AAA. I think some of this stuff is just random, honestly.

But losing every game because you didn't rotate your thumb just right isn't fun either.

AA was still stupid easy. Like I said ... .450 with 45 homers by mid-season. I got about two weeks in AAA and then got called up. The Cup of Tea was fine, reasonable - low .300s and 15 homers. Start of next season - awful. But then as I slowly adjusted, I ended up ... uh ... winning every possible award and put up 16.2 WAR ... lol.
April 11, 20233 yr I did also have probably the most clutch moment in MLB history - down 2, bottom 9, Game 6 of the World Series and while down 3-2 in the series and hit a walk-off homer to straightaway center. We then took Game 7 11-0.

Things like upgrading the ballpark and hiring staff is too much. Games have become so complicated in the last 10 or so years. This is off topic, but I bought Borderlands 3 to play with a friend and lasted about 3 hours before telling him I just couldn't. Whatever happened to just progressing? Everything is about upgrades, customization, and always the rpg elements. Heck, even RTTS.... What the hell are player relationships? Why? I agree franchise mode can be cumbersome for novice players. However, overall I do think the game is an improvement over recent editions and Jazz being on the cover, at least for me, makes it cool. I know that’s random haha. But TBH I only have 3 games on my PS4 console. GTA 5, FIFA 23, and MLB 23. That’s it. All fun games in their own right. But hopefully everyone who got MLB 23 is enjoying their gaming experience like me lol… u can build some pretty sick squads in franchise tho. I have a franchise mode with the marlins and was able to make several big acquisitions, including Ohtani. But RTTS I’d be curious to try. Idk how good it is compared to franchise mode or past RTTS, but it shouldn’t be too different.

I got '22 on the One, and it didn't have the ability to do the stadium builder, so I'd like to check that out too.

I've got a beautiful set up in my living room with a switch, Xbox series x and PS5, and I stare at it more than play. I knew it'd be hard for me to play consistently so I got it for my son, but apparently he loves mobile games and I'm just here like wat?
