A weekday afternoon game against the Nats? I really doubt it'll have good attendance unless there is a school trip or something.

To go along with Sandy's Beach the Marlins should open up a Eury Nation section.

They have several of those throughout the park.

Actually the opposite as today is a Senior ticket day so nope on the school trip. The place will be nice and empty but will smell like mothballs.

Jean Segura is leading off.

It's a genius move as the plan is to get that crap out of the way earlier and then let the real lineup get to work.

At least he can’t gidp in his first ab

Segura has been having much better at bats recently so I'll let it slide. Stats will take awhile to bump up with as awful as his start to the season was.

Eury day!

X-cited to see the X-man in CF.  He did play some games there in AAA.

Trevor Williams is a former 2nd round Marlins draft pick.  He got traded for a guy who immediately retired and never pitched for the Marlins (Richard Mitchell).  It's a bit more complicated than that but sounds better.

He was traded for Jim Benedict, actually.

The "pitching guru" who had things work really well for all of three years with Pittsburgh and we thought "oh hey yeah that makes sense, let's steal him."

And then the Launch Angle Revolution began and everyone was crushing the low pitch.

That Jim Benedict thing was one of the biggest flops in Marlins history that no one mentions, like literally nothing to point to coming out right from that.
