I'll be at this game, so why not start the game thread?

 

Fish Team sends Sandy Alcantara to the mound to face the Dodgers, who have won 11 games in a row. Mookie Betts (.455), Fred Freeman (.308), Maximillian Muncy (.357), and Will's Myth (.333) are all very good against Sandy with decent enough sample sizes. In Sandy's last three starts at Dodger Stadium, he has allowed 20 runs in 10 innings.

Could have been known as the Brooklyn We Complain About Rats But Don't You Dare Suggest We Stop Leaving Garbage On The Streets and then would have HAD to change their name when they moved to the Los Angeles We Complain About Unhoused Folks But Don't You Dare Suggest We Build More Housings.

Someone doesn’t actually live in Brooklyn 🙄 

This game and maybe Saturday will be played. But a tropical storm may hit LA Sunday. So, could be some postponed games in LA and if we play SD.

Friday and Saturday will definitely be played, but yeah Sunday is looking less and less likely.

A hurricane in LA? That sounds like a rarity to my South Florida behind. When was the last time that happened?

i was flipping through and saw that's "never" happened in a headline but i didn't read it and i can't believe that's literally NEVER happened. 

here in Arizona we're hoping to benefit a bit from that storm and break the back of these horrendous hot days for at least a few days.  Maybe get a monsoon or two along with it.

it's expected to be a tropical storm by the time it makes landfall in California. The only recorded time a tropical storm has made landfall here was in 1939. It's going to be REALLY bad in the low deserts, but LA proper should be fine (relatively) with just a little flooding and power outages. 

I put $25 on the moneyline (+118) for the Marlins, and I will be there in my 1997 Bob Bonilla teal jersey to cheer them on.
