This is the worst I've seen Skip manage. His BP management last year was very good.  No need to being in this scrub after your offense tries to claw back into the game. Regardless of why he's on the roster, it's totally on Skip when to use him.

Who would you use? Bullpen is perry bottom tier right now and very unlikely the team can even get to 4 runs to begin with. The fact birch is on the roster is the bigger issue

I think the struggles have to do with that they’re not good pitchers

He was talking about how hitters in spring will swing early for fastballs whereas in the season they'll work counts more or something?  I don't recall if it was in reference to our hitters or our pitchers.

I don't remember it all, but it sounded like excuses.  Every other team deals with the same spring to regular season "transition" and plenty of teams are doing just fine.

I love how Cronin, Gutierrez, Hoeing, Smith and now Emmanuel have all pitched way more than our better relievers.  We must be saving their arms for next year.

Being down 4 - 2 this game instead of 6 - 2 with three innings left is doable even for us.
