If the Marlins decided to let Eury start at home and Paddack start on the road, then we might have a chance.

Paddack road era is been very driven by luck. There is absolutely nothing about gunythat suggest he can be useful In the big leagues for this team that at least publicly pretends they’re trying to win

Underlying stats have said that some of the bad numbers at home have been bad luck. But today it's 100% on Paddack.

I see what you’re seeing and his ks and bb rates are solid. What I think you’re missing is pitches he leaves in the zone are getting absolutely hammered and has career high hard hit rate. Pitches he leaves in the zone are getting crushed so they abnormally high babip will stay high.

Paddacks fastball is sitting 89. What are we even doing here

It was 93 in the 1st inning. If you are worried about the drop off fine, but if you are worried in general about a low fastball velo, then there is something you should know about Braxton Garrett.

Command is not there for sure, but it's not like these are middle-middle. It's like they know what is coming.

Braxton has been very successful with that velo and has a very different shape to it. Paddack used to throw 97/98 and clearly is on way to retirement

When did Paddack throw 97/98? He peaked at 95.5 in 2023 But has mostly sat 93/94 in his career. I suppose there is a slight downward trend the last 3 years, but 2023 seems more of an outlier than any thing, so he really hasn't lost more than about 1 mph on the 4-seamer compared to his early years in San Diego.

He could get it up there didn’t sit there as you said. When he first came up his whole thing was big fastball and change up. I think My point is his career his clearly declining and continues to decline, yet the marlins put him Out there every 5 days at the expense of a keeping the team competitive when there are clearly getter options in AAA. Just send paddy to the pen at leadt

Paddack has also only pitched 30 innings total this year. Just utterly useless

no completely true, he got us Fernando Rodney

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Bendix has made a lot of very positive moves with trades and Dfa pick ups, but the luzardo trade was such a huge huge miss.

Not if Caba turns out ro be good.

Even if Caba becomes good Bendix sold way too soon on Luzardo and could have netted us far more than Caba. Also, we probably make the playoffs with Luzardo last year

Possible injury concerns from the Marlins after Paddack lost 4 mph on his fast ball in a matter of 2 innings.

Most likely replacements if he goes on the IL will be Brax (next scheduled start is tomorrow) or Snelling (next start is Friday).
