Glendon Rusch - S - Texas Rangers Jan 20

 

Rangers signed LHP Glendon Rusch to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

Facing a new set of hitters in the American League could help Rusch, but he's not likely to have any fantasy value while pitching for the Rangers. He'll compete for a spot at the back of the team's rotation.

Trust me, you don't want Rusch.

I won't lose sleep over this one getting away.

Tejera will surprise many this year. Remember that. Rusch is terrible. I would rather let Gracequi play.

I would rather us get Sauerbeck...

Sauerbeck needs shoulder surgery. He's not signing with anyone.

I think he means that an injured Saurebeck is better than Rusch.

Sauerbeck has been damaged goods for a long time. That's why he has attracted zero interest. He's done probably for the year.

Another viable lefty optioin was signed today....our old friend, Vic Darensbourg.

he's no lefty. he's indeed a LHP. last year he flat out sucked against left handed hitting though, worse than what he usually does. however, he's very good against right handed hitters.

Indeed,I am aware he is a lefty however I don't consider him a "true" due to his inability to retire lefty batters.

 

Don't get me wrong though, think he's a fine young pitcher.

Tejera has great stuff, but I wouldn't even consider him an option.

 

My two favorite options, Saurbeck and Myers, are now gone. So I'm open to almost all suggestions.
