February 6, 200422 yr I've had few problems with the Marlins players over the years, that is one of the reasons they're my favorite team. Cliff Floyd was without a doubt the nicest and most accomodating player. He signed for the longest time. I would also put Ryan Dempster in that same boat. He would sit on a railing signing anything and everything forever. Those two are the tops other great ones include Mike redmond, Jeff Conine and Gary Sheffield.

February 6, 200422 yr Despite the earlier thread re Penny and Pavano, I have to say Pavano is the nicest one I have met. Was REALLY patient with my son last year at the Dinner on the Diamond.....!
February 6, 200422 yr Best Current Player: Mike Lowell (Came over, signed, and chatted with me and my dad at the Vet near the end of September during the big Wild Card chase...Derrek Lee had come over to hang out with Lowell and my dad told them both they the team was gonna have a great post-season...Marlins won that game 11-4 with Conine robbing Thome at the wall...) Best Non-Current Marlins Player: Mark Kotsay (he always signed as a Sea Dog and then when he was in the bigs, he overheard me say at the Vet that I was waiting to get Sheffield to sign, so after Mark signed my ball, he ran across the infield, got Sheffield to sign it, and then Kotsay ran it back to me...) Best Current Player Prospect: Cabs...(While he was warming up throwing the ball around at the Vet, someone from the batting cage hit a grounder near his throwing partner. As that person chased down the ball, Cabs immediately ran over and signed for me and a few other people)

February 6, 200422 yr I haven't met either of them when they were Marlins, but anyways: Ryan Dempster (early 1998) Brian Edmonson (after his stint with the Marlins, I think 2002, when he was with the AA Erie SeaWolves.) I've had the opportunity to get autographs/shake hands with many former Sea Dogs who became Marlins, including: Kevin Millar Mark Kotsay + others All really nice guys.
February 7, 200422 yr All the marlins players are good guys, you just have to understand they are normal people who do not want to be bothered. I met Beckett, penny, and willis at Sandbar last night and at a country western bar a while ago and they are good guys. If you don't act like a stupid fan, they are nice. Also my buddy met Willis in an airport, and Willis signed an autograph for me.
February 7, 200422 yr Dave Berg, Matt Mantei and Mike Redmond are the nicest I have met. John Henry was the rudest I have met.
February 7, 200422 yr Everytime I go to the Vet, the Marlins always sign...very rarely do you see any of the Phillies standing around to sign..
