My Experience at ST Opening Day
Hey everyone, I had a great time at the Marlins Canes game, just wanted to report a few of my highlights: 1. As I walk in the gate towards my seats I see a guy that looks quite familiar walking with a hot dog. It's Peter Gammons. As I walk by I say, hey Mr. Gammons. He shook my hand. Quite a thrill for me, this guy may have the best job in the world as far as im concerned. 2. Juan Pierre and Grandpa Jack: These guys spent so much time signing autographs. It was a pleasure to see players that realize what is important to the game. I personally dont care about autographs, but for a lot of kids, it is their favorite parts of the game. 3. Joe Dilon - This guy had a great game and deserves it. Certainly somebody I want to see on the big league roster. The 3 run jack he belted over the left field wall was hammered. This guy has what it takes. You need look no further than how he has capitalized in every opportunity. 4. ITS BASEBALL SEASON......well worth the wait.

Spring Training Games Attendees
Coming home from school for spring break next week and have tix to four of the games. Wed @ vero, as well as the Fri-Sat games. The tickets at Vero I just bought on ebay. I got four tickets, 2 in the first row and two in the second row right behind those in section 7 which is right behind first base. The best part of all of this is the grand total for all 4 tickets was a whopping 10 dollars. Can't wait. Here's to '05

A Word From our Friend Carl Pavano
one other thing, i went to Borders today and read a good portion of the book (wouldnt give him the satisfaction of a purchase) and it is absoluetley hillarious. I got a real kick out of this guy. This guy has led one interesting life and his views on things are so out their, its just a good time taking a look at the world through his eyes.

A Word From our Friend Carl Pavano
alright, it took all of 2 minutes to get baraded like i said i would, but anyways.....you asked me if i wouldnt take a job for more security.....i definately would, but define security for a second. we are not talking about him putting food on his table for the next 50 years. Think about what 20 million dollars is. you can live off that interest and have a damn good life. it is completely carl's decision and i dont think less of him for going to the yanks, just thought the quote had some irony in it.

A Word From our Friend Carl Pavano
"There are certain things that belong with us ballplayers," Yankees pitcher Carl Pavano said. "It's a tight group. It's sad to see someone that desperate come throw themselves out there to make money." Yeh Carl.....Who ever heard of a professional athlete doing something for money?!? HAHAHAHA 40 million cough 40 million This was part of the following article on ESPN.COM about the Canseco book: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1991571 PS, before I get baraded by people for using Carl as an example of a greedy athlete, let me say he is at the lesser end of this spectrum.

Link and a Question
Hey, don't know if this was posted, but here's an article rating our top 10 prospects: http://proxy.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1963694 As for my question, I go to UF in Gainesville and was wondering if any of you knew which teams Spring Training facility comes closest to reaching here up north. The Braves in Disney are the farthest I could think of. Thanks for your time.
