how can you say the lineup is a wash, if you dont like the trade that is one thing, but to say the lineup is a wash is ridiculous. If you take out April, Choi is having a bad to poor season. Lo Duca is a HUGE upgrade over Redmond. I love Red, but the bottem line is he's a backup catcher as opposed to the all-star we have acquired in Lo Duca. While I dont know Encarnacions breakdown by the months, i would guess that if you take April out him and Choi have very similar numbers (I also believe another deal is in the work, Encarnacion left on such bad terms I can't see him putting on a Marlins Uni again). Lastly, it seems almost a matter of time before we make another deal for a starter and/or another outfielder, so all of us may be rushing to judgement.

they are fox sports florida broadcasters, they are catering to their demographic, its not like this is a national game, they should make it more enjoyable to the people watching, if it were espn i would agree entirely, but its not.

I was just reading an article on espn.com that was saying that the reason that Andres Gallaraga hadnt played yet this year because he had a recurrence of cancer. thank you, i get just as upset as everyone else when the marlins lose, the only good part about it was i curled more out of anger at the gym tonight, however, i think everyone should just show OUR guys some respect, not turning our backs on them any chance we get, this isnt philly, and I certainly hope it never is. I get so much joy out of watching this team play that when people go out and bash the team the first chance they get, I more and more what to see them move someplace where the fans appreciate what they have.

i too believe the marlins deserve the no. 1 spot, but these power rankings are aweful. id like to see whoever made them put his money where his mouth is and wager his life savings on his 3rd ranked tigers.
