What happened to Vargas I thought he would pitch #3...L R L R thing. Well, the first game the Marlins will need to start Olsen is April 15 after Mitre, so at that point, the rotation will be Willis-Mitre-Olsen-Moehler-Vargas, L-R-L-R-L.

Is any Floridian getting this game on DirecTV Channel 634? I have it on Dish Channel 423. Affirmative. Curious to see what happens tomorrow, I have a feeling I might be very angry.

Last year produced a record 27 named storms that evolved into 15 hurricanes, seven of them major. It was the most destructive hurricane season in American history. Just for reference, last years April 1 prediction was 13 named storms, 7 hurricanes, and 3 intense hurricanes. Why anyone even gives these forecasts any notice is beyond me (I dont mean the poster of this thread, but the public in general). Everyone knows were in an active part of the cycle, but to try to predict the number of storms is a crapshoot.

Marlins claimed RHP Franklyn German off waivers from the Tigers. They'll have to free up a place on the active roster for him, which could mean that Ricky Nolasco, Chris Resop or Carlos Martinez will be demoted. Are these tickets for one ST game? I know its not ideal, but you could just buy another ticket if its that important.

Good article. Thanks for posting. Said a while back that I wish Andino would spend three weeks with Perry Hill working at 2B. He won't beat out Han Ram at short, but might challenge Uggla at 2B. In any event, as the #1 back-up mid-infielder he will get better experience (and confidence building) in the Big Show than he would being demoted back to the minors.
