Lo Duca and Castillo should get some decent playing time as they are the only backups at their positions.

Kind of disappointing that Delgado wasn't picked, but its also hard to expect 5 all-stars from a third place team regardless of how good the division is. These four were definitely deserving and 4 all-stars is still a very good showing.

To say he was making bad calls and claiming a conspiracy are two completely different things. The conspiracy argument is what I think is pretty lame. Im not saying he didnt make some bad calls.

I know its a convenient excuse in case the Marlins lose when hes behind the plate, but this comes up every year, and its a really lame argument. Wolf was more then fair today and there has never been a problem with him.

My personal feeling is a lot of you are missing the point. Of course, policies are not going to changed because of concerts. As far a bringing awareness, I was certainly not aware of a lot of the things I have found out because of this, and Im a smart person who is aware of the world around me (not trying to brag, but Im being honest how little people know about Africa). The money they could have raised through admissions or whatever would have been a small pittance compared to what is needed and would also have missed the point. Millions of dollars is not what is needed, the G8 can reverse billions of dollars of debt and make fairer trade policies that would allow Africa to pull itself up. These musicians and concerts have no purpose in and of themselves but to bring awareness to these issues, and if it takes concerts for them to do that, then so be it. Do you really think a high school pep rally helps the football team score one more point? Of course not, its about bringing people together and rallying support, and if takes a pep rally to do that, then do it.

The Braves and Marlins have a mutual off day September 29 before the season-ending series between the two teams at DS, so Im guessing it would be played then if this game is postponed.

First off, Skip Caray needs to shut his mouth, he has no clue what hes talking about most of the time. The Marlins grounds crew is one of the best in baseball. And I don't blame the umps completely, that downpur came so quickly and so heavily that by the time they realized it wasnt going to stop like it did the time before, the field was covered with water. Maybe Skip should go down on the field and see how heavy that whole tarp is, and learn that its nearly impossible to pull something that heavy over mud. A far as "Fourteen in a Row," Id rather have two shiny rings than thirteen pennants on the wall.

Even though Sunday's game is listed as a radio only game on Marlins schedules, the Rays are televising that game on FSN Florida. So, everyone in the state will get to see the game with the D-Rays announcers. Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone thought they couldnt see it.

The broadcast doesnt effect my enjoyment of the game, but I have to say McLemore was like a walking baseball cliche. I cant remember how many times he said the Marlins dont get big hits when it counts. You could tell Boog was frustrated because he was practically interviewing McLemore to get him to add some personal insight that a former player should do on his own. My favorite was when Boog asked what interleague play was like for the player and Mark said how great it was for the fans, etc, and then Boog asked the question again because Mark didnt answer it.
