Official ACC-Big 10 Challenge Thread
81-49 with 7 and a half to go. Good Lord, call off the dogs! :lol 624705 What's terrible is how much ESPN was still stroking Wake's c**k... They're down 30 points, and they're talking about how much home court played a factor... :banghead They got crushed by the better team... No one has challenged Illinois at all. And in that first half when they wre running Wake out of the gym, they had one of their best players on the bench almost the entire time...

Potential Trade??
May I ask what a good player is?? Carlos batted .305 with 31 homers and 99 rbi's last year. If you're going to use the park for an argument you should check out his splits, he batted .307 with 14 homers and 54 rbi's on the road. 624214 those are mediocre numbers. 624216 You're right... trade cabs too.. he's mediocre.

Game of the Year
most overrated 2-loss team vs. .500 in conference overrated team. does it decide who'll be conference champion? No? it's a non-conference game. not even game of the day..... I'll watch the game where the teams have a combined 3 losses, and has some conference champion bearing. 617261 I've got my ticket :thumbup 617291 How the heck are they favorites??? vs. Michigan 13 point dogs. vs. ASU 1 point dogs vs. PSU 1 point dogs vs. Purdue ? point dogs vs. Minn 3 point dogs now they play a top 10 1-loss team, and they are favored??? I just don't get it.

Heisman Candidate Flying Under the Radar
Under the radar: Well maybe next year 615567 Yeah, you wanna take bets as to where he finishes in Big Ten POY voting? He's gonna end up behind all three Michigan names and Orton, unless he can destroy Wisconsin, then He might only be behind two. I get no respect.

College Football Saturday Thread: 11/13
I'd like to point out that Iowa keeps winning with absolutely no running game. Drew Tate is the real deal and has been taking this offense on his shoulders.. and this coaching staff is just doing an unbelievable job. Kirk Ferentz for Coach of the Year. Go Hawks! 614143 They only got outrushed by 319 yards... Tate + Ferentz = Big Ten POY and COY 614326 Cheat - It's pretty unbelievable what we're doing this year.. I really can't beleive it. The only team in the country starting a halfback who is a walk-on. Ferentz out-does himself every year it seems like. In 2002 he was National Coach of the Year... then last year, everyone said that was his best year of coaching.. and then this year, with all these ridiculous injuries, to come out and be 6-1 in the Big Ten is amazing... by far his best year. Turning walk-ons into NFL Players all the time... Dallas Clark, Bruce Nelson, Derek Pagel, Ben Sobieski and soon to be Sean Considine... Recruiting Robert Gallery as a TE and turning him into one of the most dominant OLineman in recent history. And what can you say about Drew Tate? I think Hawk fans had an idea he was going to be a good one but I don't think anyone expected him to be this good this quick... and just think if he had a hint of a running game how good he would be?! Its just amazing that a Sophomore can be such a leader and be this good with no running game.. and to have such a grasp for the offense so quickly. I just can't believe his poise. Andre Ware, the Heisman winning quarterback, was just talking him up so much.. Just loved what he saw. Says hes the next great Big Ten quarterback.. I love this group of kids we have.. I hate to harp on the injuries.. but add that to getting blown out by Arizona State then losing to Michigan, I thought we were dead in the water.. but then to win 6 straight games is a testament to this great coaching staff, our defense and Drew Tate. Just unbelievable. 614330 Last three seasons Losses in Big Ten play Michigan - 3 Iowa - 4 Ohio State - 6 Purdue - 9 Wisconsin - 11 Minnesota - 11 Michigan State - 12 Northwestern - 14 Penn State - 16 Illinois - 18 Indiana - 20 Now if I hadn't shown you that list, and asked you to rate the Big Ten, in terms of talent over the last three seasons, Where would Iowa rank? 5th? 6th? 7th?

Democrat party too far left?
Three words: You can't vote. :plain 607916 So, its the last time. There's definatly something wrong with the Democrats when Bush completely sweeps the entire south. 607924 I really don't think it's something that's wrong with the democratic party. It's that the southern states are dominated by the religious right which voted for Bush mostly because he shares their anti-gay and pro-life views. 608110 How dare they! 608113 Gay marriage was a brilliant strategy on Rove's part to win this election. They knew the amendment would never pass on the federal level, but if they made it a big deal and left it up to the states, there would be plenty of homophobes and zealots (is there a single reason to oppose gay people getting married other than religion or hatred?) who would run to the polls to pretect their tiny-minded view of the world, and along the way, vote for that nice man who could be their next door neighbor, if he wasn't ungodly freaking rich and powerful.

Predict the electoral vote
Ohio is the only real difference from 2000. Kerry wins Ohio and NH which Gore lost in 2000 Bush gains New Mexico, which Gore won in 2000. Kerry wins (sometime in late december) by whatever that amounts to.

have you ever rushed the field/court?
2002 in Minneapolis at the Metrodome.. when Iowa won the Big Ten.. Tore down their goalposts. 606069 I was just about to post that. Only Iowa fans would tear down an opponents goalpost, and then try to take out through the stadiums doors. :lol 3 Weeks the ones in IC are coming down when UofI takes down previously undefeated Wisconsin in the final game of the season.

Speaking of IQ
Nobody wants to spend 15 minutes takin some test online and then have it tell them they are stupid... All results are massively inflated.. In all likelyhood there is not a "genious" among those who replied.
