Hech not as ST, avoiding conspiracy charges by testifying in smuggling case
Lying to Feds. May end up in jail as season starts. Rojas or even free agent Alexei Ramirez could be an upgrade. Another Mike Hill terrible idea who thought Hech was an all star talent bahahaha.

MLB is reportedly considering starting extra innings with a runner on second base
Manfred's next rule is "the outfielder can hold the ball up in the air and the runners have to stop at the base they are at."

I swear to God Progressives are ruining America. This is BS and awful just like the damn slide rule at home plate.

Kyrie Irving says earth is flat
Clearly a democrat/Bernie supporter. In the same interview he said the moon landing was faked and aliens are real. The latter 2 could be true but the Earth is not an optical illusion.

Minor Leaguer Soltis Suspended
They either REALLY hit (Stanton, Jose, Yelich, Realmuto) or REALLY miss (Kolek and 100's of others)

Chris Reed retires at age 26
Mike Hill gets the short end of the stick MOST of the time. The ONLY two trades I liked from him were Prado/Phelps for Eovaldi and Dee Gordon deal. I was never high on Heaney. Dayton's splits were downright nasty last year. http://thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=Grant-Dayton

Loria dodges, Samson confirms rumors
Trump answers more questions directly than any politician I've ever seen. Loria used his friends, the Kushner's as a "fake bid" or "fake news" to drive up the interest in the Marlins. Loria is the worst but he's definitely intelligent.

Chris Reed retires at age 26
Thank You Mike Hill for giving Grant Dayton away for him. Dayton is a dominant lefty. from rotoworld.... Chris Reed - R - Marlins Baseball America's Matt Eddy reports that Chris Reed has retired from baseball. Reed is just 26 and was a first-round pick out of Stanford in 2011, but his career just never really got on track. He did make a couple relief appearances for the Marlins in 2015, but the southpaw produced pedestrian numbers in the minors. Even worse, the Marlins traded Grant Dayton to the Dodgers for Reed and Dayton looks like he'll be a key reliever for Los Angeles for a while.

Loria could be named Ambassador to France
I don't want the Kushners to buy the team. His anti gun stances along with the way he looks; pass. I may be in the minority but hopefully the "talk" of selling drives up the price and gets Loria to sell the Marlins to an actual good ownership candidate.

Moves before season starts
Wasn't a fan of Johnson. Like Dobbs, Helms, and Jeff Baker; he didn't produce enough last year as a corner infielder. Orioles AAA Norfolk manager is Ron Johnson, Chris' dad. That's the major reason he chose there. Johnson is making $9 million this year still with that awful contract.

Jose's Friends Familes Sue
ONLY $5 million? If they invest properly, they can live off that. The family gets $1.4 mil in life insurance as well. The vultures are out but the Jose family should sue Boras for the bad advice. I think they have a good relationship with Boras though.

Chase Utley
It's doubtful the front office is looking to add ANYTHING at this time with the sale going down soon.
-
Chase Utley
He's narrowed the choice down to 4 contenders. Indians and Dodgers involved. I doubt he feels the Marlins are contenders. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Chase Utley has narrowed his choices down to four contending teams. No word on exactly which four teams Utley is considering, but he was mentioned in connection with the Indians earlier this week. Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman recently didn't rule out re-signing Utley even after trading for Logan Forsythe. While Utley is looking at contenders, he's unlikely to land a starting gig at this point. After a dismal 2015 season, the 38-year-old Utley bounced back to respectability in 2016 -- posting a .252/.319/.396 batting line with 14 homers and 79 runs scored in 138 games.

Forbes: Handshake Deal in Place for $1.6 Billion
Loria donated $125,000 to the Trump campaign. I'm pretty sure LORIA and LORIA alone gets to decide who he wants to sell it to.

Forbes: Handshake Deal in Place for $1.6 Billion
When you're in the business world, you know how to word things. I've called him Jeffrey in other emails. Samson told me Jose wasn't going anywhere in the past when the trade rumors started among other things. I'm sure many on here have emailed him before.

Forbes: Handshake Deal in Place for $1.6 Billion
I love Trump but he's on record saying sports teams are terrible investments. I don't think he's involved. This sounds like a team of investors

Details on the Marlins-Padres Colin Rea trade fiasco from last summer
Mike Hill is absolutely terrible. How does he have a job? Beinfest was better.
