Touchdown. Borchard isn't much against lefties, but he's better than Amezaga. Borchard is 3 for 3 lifetime with an HR vs. Glavine though so it is no surprise to see him in the lineup Actually it is a surprise to see him in the lineup when he is batting that against the pitcher.

Believe me,a bunch of the Gators tried to do this cause FSN also shows Gator basketball games and it didn't help, and there are a lot more Gator fans in central Florida than there are Marlin fans. Hopefully with the Gators looking to repeat in Bball, they will decide to add FSN for our poor souls in C.Florida. Did you guys petition. I just started a thread on that board asking if they did. I didn't care much about it since I didnt move to Orlando untill late October last year and I got to see 95% of the games last year in Salt Lake City thanks to MLB.com.

After joining these forums I realized that I'm not the only Marlins fan who can't watch their team. In order to watch them, I would have to sign a huge contract for a satelite provider, since I'm in an MLB.tv blackout area. Being a college student, that is out of the question. The only cable provider up in the 407 happens to be Brighthouse Networks, who for some reason do not offer FSN Florida. This happens to be very frustrating being that most of us are Marlins fans up here, not Devil Rays. Being that this is a forum with many Orlando fish-atics, I came up with an idea. Do you all believe that it is possible to petition to Brighthouse in order to get them to start carrying FSN Florida? Because if it is possible, I would gladly head it up with any support. Let me know what you all think. I'm under the impression that it is mostly FSN that is causing the problems in Orlando, not Brighthouse. But overall, it sucks.

Why in the hell did Giradi not leave Willis in to bat against Looper ? LaRussa probably brings out the LHP, in which case you put in Cody Ross for the advantage. If Willis has to bat, he still is a better hitter against a righty than Cody Ross. Some simple stats I wish Giradi would have thought about - Lefties are batting .329 against Looper, righties .243. Cody Ross vs RHP has a .216 BA , Dontrelle Willis in his career against RHP has a BA of .262. BTW, those saying in the game threads that we needed a RHP to pitch against Rolen/Pujols which is why we went with Sergio Mitre instead of Willis or Tank, both Pujols and Rolen have a higher OPS against righties than lefties. I know the game moves fast and yes I do have the benefits of ESPN.com to look at stats, but even before I looked at the numbers, I thought Willis should have stayed in. Just wish Giradi would consult his stat book now and then... Tank's WHIP vs righties is terrible (1.84) while Mitre's WHIP vs righties is pretty good (.98). I'll bet that had something to do with why Girardi went with Mitre. Why? We were just talking about Joe not using stats, so when its in his favor, he does?
