Two teams heading in different directions open a three-game series as the Marlins return home to face Arizona, starting on Monday.

Florida has won 12 of its last 14, becoming the first team in 107 years to get back to .500 after being 20 games under. The Marlins were 11-31 on May 21, but evened their record at 68-68 by beating the Brewers on Sunday.

Now, they'll try to get over .500 for the first time this year.

"We are playing great right now," Miguel Cabrera said. "We're playing better and better and have a super feeling right now."

Arizona has lost five consecutive games, dropping out of the National League Wild Card race at 64-72.

A strong start by Scott Olsen on Sunday took some of the pressure off Brian Moehler, who will make his first start on Monday night since July 30. Florida used five relievers in a 10-inning victory over Milwaukee on Saturday night, but was able to rest much of its bullpen when Olsen gave up only one hit in seven innings on Sunday.

"You don't have to use your back end guys and that's important," Girardi said. "You can't go to them every day."

Pitching matchup

FLA: RHP Brian Moehler (7-8, 6.04 ERA)

Moehler has not started in more than a month, and has fared better as a reliever this year. In his last 11 1/3 innings, all in relief, he has given up only one earned run. In his last three starts, all losses, he gave up 11 runs in 10 innings.

ARI: RHP Enrique Gonzalez (3-6, 5.42 ERA)

Gonzalez has struggled in recent weeks, going 1-5 with a 6.38 ERA in his last 10 starts. He's also struggled on the road, going 1-3 with a 7.65 ERA in eight starts. He took the loss in his only appearance against the Marlins this year, pitching six innings, giving up four runs, one earned in Florida's 6-5 victory on Aug. 13.

Player to watch

Cabrera started slowly after returning from an arm contusion he suffered on Wednesday, but had three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs on Sunday against the Brewers.
