  1. I'll take 3 runs in 7 innings. That around a 4.50 era.
  2. Reasons why we lost this heart-breaker. ( in order of importance) 1. Sixteen strike-outs and a masterful performance by Schmidt. 2. Ramirez's throwing error leading to 2 unearned runs. 3. Olivo not handling the throw to the plate. 4. No clutch hitting in the ninth by Cabrera, Willingham and Hermida. 5. If Uggla doesn't trip rounding 2nd on Jacobs hit he would have reached third and probably would have scored to tie the game on the wild pitch that followed. You forgot Olivo stealing second.
  3. If you add all 3 hitters avg, you should get about a 1.000avg. What happen?
  4. Poor defense, 16 k's, a classic example of what would happen in a college vs MLB game.
  5. Embarrassing? far from it. anyway, can we all agree that tonight didnt happen? The Marlins didn't play today remember, we had another gate delay in the 4th and had to cancel the game.
  6. I just saw the future, and it doesn't look good . :banghead We can always hope though. , my bad dream came true....
  7. Rays losses 12-2 if you haven't heard. -Captain Obvious :mischief
  8. Cabrera should hit 3rd but I'll take it.
  9. I just saw the future, and it doesn't look good . :banghead We can always hope though.
  10. He was the only pitcher that responded well in the ATL/TB road trip crisis. Dontrelle did good but had bad luck. The whole team had bad luck! D-Train pitch well in one game but there were some games where he blew 7 runs in 1 inning.
  11. Sit down Moehler and put Mitre, he has a lower ERA I bet.
  12. From the Marlins of 2003 championship: Bos: Lowell, Beckett, Gonzalez - correct Chi: Lee, Pierre - correct Twins: Castillo, Mike Redmond Orioles: Conine - correct Blue Jays: Burnett (I think) Tigers: Rodriguez, Todd Jwnz NYY: Pavano - correct KC: SP Redman(then it has to be this guy) Penny - Dodgers Looper - Cardinals Urbina - Jail in Ven.What da? Easly - Arizona Alfonseca -Texas Mota - Cleveland Villone - NYY there hope that helps
  13. From the Marlins of 2003 championship: Bos: Lowell, Beckett, Gonzalez Chi: Lee, Pierre Twins: Castillo (I think) Orioles: Conine (I think) Blue Rays: Burnett (I think) Tiger: Rodriguez NYY: Pavano KC: Redmond I'm missing Penny, Looper, Urbina, some bench players, some relief pitchers. 04/05 Marlins: Mets: Paul lo Duca, Delgado I'm missing Todd Jones, Easley, Alfonseca, Mota, more relief pitchers, more bench players...
  14. Yeah because the rest of your team got to stink to have an MVP and still be in last place. Well the individual RBI isaffected by the players in front and that is what MLB is looking for but Cabrera got Uggla and Ramirez, all 3 over .300. If only Willingham didn't slump.
  15. He was the only pitcher that responded well in the ATL/TB road trip crisis.
  16. I thought we only gave up Pierre. So who use to play for the Cubs organation?
  17. We should give Mitre another chance. He wasn't the only pitcher blowing up games before he was sent to the DL. All of our pitcher got another chance and they all came through while Mitre couldn't because he was in the DL. I say give him a chance in the starting rotation and see how he'll respond. His last few games may had been effected by his injure arm and that why he slow down and didn't wanted to talk about his injury. You never know but I sure do believe Mitre could make a comeback.
  18. Without looking at the leader board I think it is Dunn. I remember he had a quick start and has hit a monster home run against the fish early in the season. He should have atliest 10 HR this season. Looking at the leader board I say its Soriano from Nationals. He has twice HR with 21 2nd in NL behind Pujols , he is 2nd in avg with .312 behind Cabrera , and he is tied in RBI with Cabrera. Soriano look like a better choice right now. I might of missed it if it's already been said BUT...is this guy Abercrombie61? I don't see any Abrecrombie for ROY or Abrecrombie for MVP.
  19. I wonder what kind of drug he was using/smoking...
  20. Girardi was there doing the warmup before the game. He should know who seem determine to play up to their best and who seem to be having an off day.
  21. We're basiclly going to become a farm team for Boston if this is your strategy of how to run the team.
  22. It was the 1000=Win thread at floridamarlins.com forum that has brought this team good luck. Since I first made the thread the Marlins 9th inning curse has been broken and went over .500 ever since.
  23. Our pitching rotation will be wreck with Willis gone. We should be consider fortunate that our rotation is being solid recently.
