Hamilton isn't a home run hitter though, I think with our massive outfield he might be the next Chen. I'd sign Hamilton, and after seeing the lineup with Hanley in it, and I HATE HANLEY-- that lineup looks a little more respectable than the garbage we trotted out last year. We need one vet to hit cleanup, a guy who knows he's not here to hit .300 and 45 HR's- he's here to drive a runner in and teach the younger guys sometimes giving away an out isn't giving up an AT BAT, but rather sacrificing yourself to get the runner over. I say give it to him. Give him 9 and 167. But also put in the contract he has to catch for 110 games a season, and he has to win awards to get bonuses. I say if the Marlins can trade for him, and get the Yankees to eat the money for a prospect or two- I'd jump all over it. Seriously. Heck, send Realmuto, and prospects to the Yankees for Giancarlo, Sanchez and Cash and the Marlins might come out looking super savvy sending a player away for a year to get the contract paid off. I'd let someone borrow my car for a year to pay it off for 9 more.
