Theres many reasons it wouldn't work, but heres a few of them in bullet points. - Jorge Mas has thrown the current Marlins owners under the bus in the media a few times in the last year for cutting payroll. - Jorge Mas was a runner up to the Marlins in bidding. -Jorge Mas has publicly stated the Marlins ripped off the county and he isn't going to do that to get his own Stadium Deal. - Their seasons run at the same time. - While the Marlins rent the stadium from the county, it is the Marlins who own and operate the stadium- Miami Dade has no say in the day to day business of it (outside of parking garage stores that remain empty) Long story short, Jorge Mas has crapped on the Marlins too much for them to want to help him He can play at FIU Stadium. He can pay what someone wanted (3 Million?) for the day care outside Marlins park and spend 10 Million more aquiring more land in front of Marlins park, but he can't play IN marlins park.

Go to CitiField, they have a wonderful Parking Lot next door on one side, and the Iron Triangle on the other. (Blocks upon blocks of junk yards and chop shops).

I park in West 3 apparently, but West 1 or West 2 might be easier for you. They've made me go left toward Casolas a few times. West 2 and West 1 I think have no other option than to get on the 836 or make a right onto 7th Street if you prefer. Maybe East 1 2 or 3 might be easier?

Yeah, they are available. Sometimes they are closed. I park on the softball field. Sometimes it's $15, sometimes $20. Rarely is it closed to the public. The other two are almost always open, the one on the corner across from the walgreens and the one between that and the softball field. Parking passes can be bought online for em. I think they are "West 1 2 and 3". The softball field is the one I love.

The rays are cheap, they would rather pay $15k for live Rays that can die and feed them rather than the 1.5 M animatronic Rays. Besides, I'm sure the owner Stuart Sternberg has a yacht he'll fish for new ones off of. Why pay for someone to do it when you can do it yourself.

I usually pay for the surface lot parking on the NW 17th Ave, the ease of running down the stairs beside the team store and getting into my car in 5 minutes makes my commute home to homestead a bearable 20 Minutes or so. The sad fact is a family shouldn't have to hunt for bargains in parking to visit an already expensive ballpark. I wish the Panthers had succeeded in making parking free and bumping attendence - however it was the lean years of that franchise.
