I've been away from the news lately because of Finals, but Anibal is with the Isotopes right? Is he playing, because they are coming to NO next week, and I'd like to go see a Marlin play, in person for the first time!

Shh!! Don't tell anyone from Oklahoma about the attendance problems! They've constantly berated N.O. about the Hornets attendance, simply because they want them to stay. Well, boo effin hoo for Oklahoma -- the team is back here now. The Marlins and Hornets both have cheap owners, for one. We were last in the league in 04-05 when the team went 18-64, and a Final Four college team could have beaten them. We got Chris Paul, lost all the Charlotte players, and then sales started flying during the Summer of 2005. That all gets lost because of Katrina. The team plays 6 games in NO this season... one a month... and we sell out 3 or 4, and come close on the others. The Okie press (worst newspaper in America in 1999 says Columbia), and their fans slam NO again for that. One game a month, no advertising, who knew except the diehards? The team is coming back, and season ticket sales are reportedly doing well. Didn't they try to take a swipe at the Fish too? Then again, they have NOTHING to do in the ugly brown open plains, unlike Florida and NO. Scroo them.

This game is very good for the psyche of the team. It (the confidence) could give the team a handful of wins in close games later in the season, that they may have lost had the comeback hadn't happened tonight.

Shouldn't have been that close, but glad we picked up a win on a division rival ahead of us.

f***. Hopefully they do a doubleheader tomorrow. I'm sick of games being postponed or cancelled.

Welcome! Now I am not the newest out-of-state Marlins fan! I've been quiet around here, mainly because last night on the Hornets board, we were celebrating the demise of Oklahoma City being affiliated with the New Orleans Hornets, as we are finally getting our NBA team back next season after the f****** hurricane. Load the trucks up! I've watched all the Marlins games, and am aggravated we dropped 2 home games, but at least we are keeping pace with the division. Young season anyway.

For me, it's the Braves. Being a Saints fan living in NO, I was brought up to despise the Falcons. So, I hate all Atlanta sports.

I became a Marlins fan during the 2003 World Series, and lost my bandwagon status when I stuck with the team the past 3 years. haha :cool I'm thrilled I got mlb.tv. I've probably been able to watch 20-30 Marlins games on national tv since, and I can't wait to be able to have that number eclipsed by the of May! I originally got the 89.95 deal this year, but then upgraded to the 119.95 deal so I can get a better quality picture. Still waiting on my 89.95 refund however... :blink:

Good, I am glad someone started this thread. Having the opportunity to watch only a handful of games since 2005, I hardly know the players except Dontrelle and Miguel. I'm still trying to get to know the players! Haven't heard of most of them! :peepwall
