COME BACK

Featured Replies

The Marlins did good and took the series from the Braves good come back win. This is our first come back win after the the 9th inning this year I believe

I can't believe Wickman grooved a 1st pitch down the middle to Olivo. :lol

I get on him sometimes but he really came through huge.

That was so awesome, 3 straight singles to start the 9th. Beautiful stuff. Not trying to do too much.

Props to Scotty O also who really showed me something tonight.

As Olivo put it in the post-game interview:

"I gonna sleep good tonight!" :thumbup

On a side note, I hated Hanley 3rd, he tried too much.

Other than that, worst 8 innings I've seen and the best singe inning of the year.

Tonight just improved alot. The lights feel brighter, the songs seem better, and the Marlins are in the WIN COLUMN!

Amazing job boys. Who would have thought?

Before the bottom of the 9th I took my Juice Plus Gummies and posted the Rally Monkey picture... It's my new ritual now.

We saved the best for last. :whistle

I started a thread the other night about winning a game we would have lost last season and here we are with the second such victory in three nights.

Banged up, beat up, seemingly half the team on the DL and we pull out this victory! Slowly but surely this team is getting better and more sure of itself. Olsen had to impress everyone here, Amezaga contributed in the field and at the plate, there's alot to feel good about tonight and even the most pessimistic among us ought to take a break and enjoy the victory. :thumbup

We are definitely back in some sort of groove...

We scored enough to win last night, but even so, taking 4 of the last 5, while grabbing a series from the Braves is an awesome stretch.

As far as tonight goes.. I'd like to see Hanley get a couple more starts at the 3 spot. He gets on a lot more than Danny, for our 4-6 hitters. On the other hand, it has the potential to create a huge gap in the lineup... Borchard, Olivo, Pitcher, Amezaga, and Uggla. Hanley is far more solid of an offensive player than all of those names combined. This was only his 2nd hitless game of the season.

Scotty O, really showed himself well tonight. I hope this trend continues. He was absolutely excellent the last 4 innings.

Good to see Henry Owens come back into himself tonight.

Worst 8 innings? Even the hottest team in baseball would be having a hard time with the wicked stuff Hudson had tonight. I think it just shows the type of character this team has to have your bats basically silenced the whole night and still have the determination to pull out a win! GO MARLINS!

Fredi said, Hanley put the 3rd spot for one night.

So, Hanley get back to leadoff spot next game.

(Hanley's 11-game hitting streak is over. :nailbite )

what an awesome ending to an awesome game!!!! My voice is absolutely GONE!!!! and my pulse is still racing!!!!! LET"S GO MARLINS!!!!!!

I think this was one of the best games of the year. The Marlins did manage to hit Hudson throughout the game. Yes, the stranding of base runners was frustrating, but it kept us in the game. Heck, even Scott Olsen broke through with a hit. Hopefully we continue this momentum on the road and take 2 out of 3 at least in Philly.

I can't beleive Hanly batted third! We still won, I can't beleive it though, I don't have any strange surge from it, I guess I am in so much disbelief. Great game by ollie and hudson.

Also, my friend from lunch told me a quote Hudson said in the begining of the eyar but I can't find it. Some thing like "People doubted me last year, I didn't like that, that made me angry" It was such a cool quote, like it said "It's on bitches!" or something :lol but I want the exact quote of what he said. Anyone know where it was from or whatever?

I wouldn't mind seeing Hanley on the 3rd spot again. One bad night shouldn't be a factor

Before the ninth inning who really had what you could call a good night against Hudson? Answer. No one. Maybe some think the guy's .62 ERA is meaningless, me I think he's a helluva pitcher and we were lucky their manager blew the game for him by greedily thinking he could give his bullpen a night off by stretching Hudson out.

I'm prejudiced, when I heard Fredi saying tonight Ramirez could hit anywhere in the lineup I wanted to forget that a minute before he said tonight's lineup was just for tonight. I like putting the two guys back to back in this order or reversed. When Gonzalez compared their potential to the Jones Boys I said to myself "YES" ! In my estimation Ramirez is wasted in the leadoff position, he has a chance to drive in 120 runs this season or next.

Hopefully Fredi will give it another try in Philly.

It was actually our first comeback when trailing after 6 innings, which hurt the Marlins a ton last year and needs to seriously improve.

Also before tonight, the Marlins were being outscored 21-6 in the ninth, and 16-1 at home. :o

This game is very good for the psyche of the team. It (the confidence) could give the team a handful of wins in close games later in the season, that they may have lost had the comeback hadn't happened tonight.
